On October 14th-16th, Walter Douglas students painted the construction fence panels that hang around the jobsite fence during construction. Each grade painted a fence panel that represents the school's theme of "Flying to New Spaces," which has been prevalent throughout the construction of Walter Douglas. Open for more than five decades, the historical Walter Douglas Elementary School is receiving a campus renovation to provide a modern learning facility for it’s students. Built in 1963, the architecture utilizes thin-shell concrete roofs on the circular classroom pods.
